One of the earliest signs of aging occurs in the forehead and eyebrow area. After years of facial muscle motion, deep furrowed wrinkles appear in the area above the eyes commonly referred to as the frown lines.  As aging occurs, facial muscles and skin lose their tone and excess skin on the forehead follows the pull of gravity and crowds the eyebrows. This is the direct result of constant use of the muscles in the forehead and facial expression. In addition, the effects of gravity and the loss of skin elasticity and muscle tone that occur with age and repeated exposure to the sun contribute to the drooping of the forehead and eyebrows.
